Trauma and PTSD
Your nervous system has been doing its best to keep you safe, sometimes a little too hard. We work at your pace, in a space where nothing gets forced and you stay in the driver’s seat.
What Does Trauma and PTSD
Look Like and How Do We Meet It?
What Can It Look Like?
- On edge, jumpy, startling at things that didn't used to startle you
- Memories or flashbacks that come up uninvited, sometimes in dreams
- Quietly steering around anything that reminds you
- A hard time trusting people, or feeling safe even when you are
- Numb, checked out, or shutting down when things get too much
How Do We Help?
Trauma-informed groups and one-on-one work, safety and pacing first, your story shared only when and how you choose.
Where Does Care Live?
Care lives inside these programs:

Frequently Asked Questions
Don’t see what you’re looking for? Call us, we’d rather talk than have you guess.
Will I have to retell my trauma in detail?
No. Trauma work starts with safety, stabilization, and skills, never diving straight into the story. If and when you process specific memories, it’s collaborative, paced, and only when you’re ready.
What if I don't remember everything, or I'm not sure it 'counts' as trauma?
Trauma isn’t measured by the event, it’s measured by how your nervous system responded. You don’t need a clear memory or a ‘big enough’ story to deserve care.
What approaches do you use for trauma?
Trauma-informed CBT, DBT skills for emotion regulation and grounding, and individual sessions focused on safety and pacing. We coordinate with outside EMDR or specialty providers when that’s the right fit.
Can trauma be treated alongside anxiety, depression, or substance use?
Yes, and it usually should be. Trauma rarely shows up alone, so care addresses the full picture rather than treating symptoms in isolation.
Do you take my insurance?
We accept most major insurance plans and verify your benefits before your first visit so there are no surprises.
