Stacey Cervantes, M.S., LMFT
Clinical Director of Outpatient Services
For the over 15 years that I have been in practice, I have worked in both private and group
practices. With Vitalize, I have participated in the development of the IOP/PHP program and am currently Director of our outpatient services, focusing on both clinical service and development.
Areas of Specialization:
- Certified ERP therapist
- Trained in EMDR
- Self-Harm and adolescents
- Parenting Support and training
Therapeutic Approach:
I have always focused on creating a strong therapeutic connection with my clients. Making a strong connection allows for treatment to be collaborative, enabling evidence based approaches to be all the more effective. Through the use of CBT, DBT and person-centered approaches, my hope is to create a safe and comfortable environment to facilitate working on what is not always easy to face.
Clients can anticipate a secure environment where they will be supported in identifying what their goals are in their care and exploring the barriers that keep them from these goals. Clients will be both empowered and challenged to heal and grow; to find the strength that they already possess but we sometimes need help finding.
Education and Credentials:
- B.A. in Communicative Disorders and Deaf Studies
- M.S. in Marriage and Family Counseling
- Trained in ERP and EMDR
- Extensive work with local Native American community
About me/Personal Note:
I feel like everyone deserves a place to feel comfortable to feel what they are feeling and have the support to figure out what to do with what comes up. My heart is in creating meaningful connections that facilitate healing. Plus, I get the opportunity to meet and hear the stories of so many incredible humans!
When I’m not at work, I’m likely watching baseball, getting overly into a boardgame or watching fantastical movies with my family. Oh, and reading. Lots of reading!
